SME Villab – LL in Koper

The mission of the SME Villab is to increase energy efficiency of houses and consequently reduce the air pollution in the region, by providing a platform of SMEs and information to residents about how to retrofit their existing home or how to build an energy-efficient new home.

The main objective of the SME Villab is to provide a platform to residents for a whole house approach to improving energy efficiency and comfort at home, while helping to protect the environment and fight global warming. The SME Villab will focus on energy efficiency of houses that can be achieved with proper choose of the outer walls, ceilings, windows, doors, and floors of a house. Further aims of the SME Villab are to promote energy efficiency of residential houses, educate the citizens how they can reduce the environmental impact by increasing the energy efficiency of their homes. Promote the use of thermal envelops, high quality windows, heating system by renewable energy, etc. and offer to the citizens the platform of SMEs, experienced service professionals, that they can turn to, when they decide for reconstruction of their homes.

The SMEs included in the SME Villab will be construction companies, producers of insulation materials, windows, heating systems and architects. In addition, the SME Villab will offer the support to citizens, who will decide to build new energy efficient or zero-energy houses building.
