SEM Project – LL in Jesolo

The City of Jesolo promotes energy saving and efficiency through the SEM project – Summer Energetic Management – Living Lab.

The territory of the city of Jesolo has a strong tourist vocation. There is a significant variation in the annual energy consumption especially during the summer mainly due to the consistent use of summer air-conditioning systems and refrigeration systems, giving rise to episodes of power cuts.

The project was launched April 12, 2012 with the following objectives:
– to inform the accommodation and tourist facilities about the innovative management systems for more efficient use and saving of energy;
– to encourage the increase of energy production from renewable energy sources.

The main actors of the project are the Public Administration, the citizens, the businesses and economic operators with the support of local Universities. All together will work actively to improve the energy distribution network and reduce energy consumption for the benefit of the communities.

SEM Living Lab opens a space of communication to facilitate the exchange of ideas between the different actors about the project and to promote the dissemination of best practices for energy saving and efficiency.
